Engagement Marlboro NJ

An engagement or betrothal is a promise to marry, and also the period of time between proposal and marriage – which may be lengthy or trivial. During this period, a couple is said to be betrothed, affianced, engaged to be married, or simply engaged. Future brides and grooms may be called the betrothed, a wife-to-be or husband-to-be, fiancées or fiancés, respectively (from the French word fiancé). The duration of the courtship varies vastly.

Engagement photography is a low-pressure chance for the wedding photographer to have fun and experiment. This, of course, should be done to amplify the couples personality in the photos. I love having fun couples, since my style reflects silly and fun engagement photography sessions. I try to find the intimate side of the couple, making the pictures unique to the engaged couple. A professional engagement photography session also permits the photographer and couple to establish a relationship and this leads to better wedding photography during the actual wedding day.

When doing engagement photography, I like to have more time than less, with interactive environments over scenic ones. I want places that are comfortable to the couple. With the right attitude and approach even "photographically difficult" couples that hate cameras can still result in beautiful images.

Banquet Photographer Marlboro NJ

A Banquet photo is a commemorative photograph typically in a hotel or club banquet room from a high angle where foreground to background each person is in focus while seated at their table. Large cameras such as a 12x20 view camera or a panoramic camera were used.

Some noted banquet photographers were Edward Kelty who was an early banquet camera user who photographed circuses predominately with traditional banquet cameras. Robert B. MacKay used cirkut cameras which worked outside and spun whereas the traditional banquet camera with flashbulbs worked just as well inside. Because of the difficult technical aspects of banquet photography and the specific equipment needed and the vast size of it, banquet photography is becoming more and more of a rare art form.

A banquet (English: /ˈbæŋk.wɪt/, French: [bɑ̃.kɛ]) is a large meal or feast complete with main courses and desserts. It usually serves a purpose such as a charitable gathering, a ceremony, or a celebration, and is often preceded or followed by speeches in honour of someone.

Today banquets serve many purposes from training sessions, to formal business dinners. Business banquets are a popular way to strengthen bonds between businessmen and their partners. It is common that a banquet is organized at the end of an academic conference. A luau is one variety of banquet originally used in Hawaii. The Nei Mongol provincial government in China levies a tax on banquets.

The idea of banqueting is ancient (see Sellisternium, Belshazzar's Feast, and Mead halls) In the sixteenth century a banquet was very different from our modern perception and stems from the medieval 'ceremony of the void'. After dinner the guests would stand and drink sweet wine and spices while the table was cleared, or ‘voided’ (Later in the seventeenth century ‘void’ would be replaced with the French ‘dessert’). During the sixteenth century, guests would no longer stand in the great chamber whilst the table was cleared and the room prepared for entertainment, but would retire to the parlour or banqueting room.

As the idea of banqueting developed, it could take place at any time during the day and have much more in common with the later practice of taking tea. Banqueting rooms varied greatly from house to house, but were generally on an intimate scale either in a garden room or inside such as the small banqueting turrets in Longleat House.
